Itinerary
This is a typical itinerary for this product

Stop At: Dali Theatre-Museum, Gala-Salvador Dali Square, 5, 17600, Figueres Spain

For sure you'll still get surprised by Salvador Dalí. This surrealist painter was born in Figueres, within L'Empordà and la Costa Brava terrain, and the place where the Dalí Theatre-Museum is located.

In your visit to the Dalí Theatre-Museum you'll enjoy a unique experience living the works and thoughts of one of the most well-known personalities of the 20th century. A walk all around his life (1904-1989) and his professional career, from his earliest artistic works to the surrealists creations of the last years.

There is no doubt that the Theatre-Museum is his great work. He actually decided to construct it inside the ruins of the old Municipal Theatre that had been destroyed in the Civil War. Dalí wanted to leave all his legacy and amazing works in Figueres and offer visitors a real and unique experience of getting inside his mind and surrealist world.

Duration: 4 hours

Stop At: Girona Cathedral (Catedral), Placa de la Catedral, s/n, 17004 Girona Spain

A city of 2000 years old where Iberians, Romans, Arabs, Greeks, Christians and Jews left their footprint. The result is the following reasons:

The Old Town. Do not miss all the medieval streets that make up the old town. Those which are a reminder of the medieval guilds and now are plenty of cafes and shops that keep the spirit of the area.

El Call - Jewish Quarter. For sure one of the best medieval Jewish quarters in Europe, here you can find the legacy they left after 6 centuries living with their own laws until they were expelled as all Jews in Spain late back in 1492. Old buildings, narrow streets and lovely views. What else can you ask for?

Houses on the Onyar River. Another must-see is the colorful houses that line along the river Onyar: red, orange and yellow buildings all along. You can also find several bridges that connect the old town with the rest of the city.

Cathedral of Girona. During your visit to Girona you'll enjoy the Cathedral, that arise at the top of a hill. It has 90 steps and the variety of styles explains the history of this building. You will find Romanesque, Gothic, Baroque elements on it. Do not miss the Creation Tapestry found in the museum.

AVE high-speed train

Don't waste time during your tour. Enjoy the AVE high-speed train from Barcelona to Figueres (140km), stopping at Girona on the way. It takes less than an hour!

Our guide, Anna was absolutely amazing and is an encyclopedia on " Salvador Dali". I'm not a museum person normally but Dali's work was so unique and innovative, I enjoyed every moment. . We did not have that in advance and there was definitely some confusion but it all turned out fine.Without Anna, it would have been enjoyable, but with her knowledge on his work, his personality and personal history, it was a tremendous experience! Hint: Be sure you have the itinerary in advance and know where you're being picked up, the time, the train station, etc

We had an outstanding tour. The BGB staff was very well oraganized and professional, especially Jessica, the guide for our tour. She ensured that our tour ran smoothly, minimized wait times, and avoided crowded portions of the museum when possible. She adeptly managed the tour to see all the major works and provided great insights on the artist and his works. In Girona we had an excellent historical walking tour that also included visits to recent Game of Thrones filming locations and scenic vistas. Overall, an excellent day thanks to Jessica!!

Booked prior to Barcelona visit. Transfer from hotel to Barcelona Sant Station was on time, and hotel reception had already been informed of departure time. My wife and I were picked up in good time and told exactly where to wait for our guide while we waited for the other party to arrive. The train was a high-speed TGV which was comfortable and very fast and arrived in Figueres exactly on time- 55 mins- and the previous stop is where tour guide, Jessica, met us. We were transported by minibus to the museum (10 minutes max) where Jessica took us around and explained in great detail Dali's fantastic museum and a lot about his quirky, complicated personality. Jessica was obviously very passionate about this man's life and work, and was a great bonus for people like ourselves who know a little about him and his work. Would always recommend an English- speaking guide with such depth of knowledge. We also had another hour or so to tour the museum on our own including the jewellery display rooms which were equally impressive. Everything ran like clockwork and we were back in Barcelona by 1:40PM, still had time for lunch and the rest of the day to tour other sites. Would highly recommend this visit.

This trip was worth the . The company is very well organized and the people are very friendly. We originally booked the tour with the Optional Girona tour, but once the day arrived we decided it might be best to skip the second part and head back to Barcelona to get ready for our flight back the next morning. Jessica, our guide, was amazing at getting our tickets changed for the train so we could go directly back to Barcelona. She also was very knowledgable about Dali and the surrounding area. She made the tour of the museum and the area memorable and worth the trip. I didn't really know anything about Dali before this trip, but now I am a fan. The high speed train was also a neat experience and glad we made the trip. Again, I can't say enough good things about this company and their organizational skills and also about Jessica. Her help was greatly appreciated and made two teenagers very happy!!!

This was far and away the best tour I have ever been on. Dali is such a complicated and amazing individual. The tour guide Jessica had such passion and really gave proper context to his works. It was so good, I would go back.

This was a truly amazing day. A taxi picked us up from our hotel, and took us to the railroad station in Barcelona were we were met by a guide who presented us with access to the one hour high speed train to spend a wonderful few hours at the Dali Museum. Our guide at the Dali Museum was a wonderful speaker and very knowledgeable about Dali's life. We were given a full lecture of the inspiration and the symbolism of Dali's work for about an hour and a half, at which time we had an additional half hour to explore the museum on our own. Dali picked a theater that had suffered a very bad fire in the late 1800's , install his works. Truly a very interesting museum in itself. Whether you enjoy Dali's work or not, for any art lover, this is a place you should visit. The gift shop is wonderful too.
