We were four ladies from America ages 50-60-ish. Hesham was our guide I hired for extra pre-day before our Insight tour bus of 40 guests started. Easy communication with WhatsApp. He spoke excellent English, very friendly, knowledgeable, and most important I would trust him with my life. The Driving in Cairo is insane and he zooms in and out with precision. We did a day of shopping and added the extra booking of Suffi dancing/music to the end of our day. He met us at our hotel and was so polite when my phone charge died and we were late in meeting in the lobby. He kept our packages safe in the trunk of his car. We went to papyrus, cartouche jewelry, oils/perfumes, and Egyptian cotton stores. With our tour bus group we also went to similar stores, but the stores Hesham took us to gave us better deals and free gifts then the bus stop places. The Suffi Dancing/music in the historic site Wekalet el Ghouri is also something you must absolutely do and the bus tours do not offer. The dancing/music is mesmerizing and unforgettable. If I had to recommend an Egypt trip to friends I would definitely tell them to take a private guide instead of a tour bus. Hesham can take you everyplace you need to see and it will save you money, time, and be a much more pleasant experience. He is worth his weight in Egyptian Gold!
