Het Gizeh-plateau ligt op slechts 30 minuten van Caïro waar uw deskundige egyptoloog u een fascinerende introductie geeft van de drie piramides Cheops, Khafre en Menakaure. U hebt hier wat vrije tijd om één van de piramides binnen te gaan (extra kosten), maar uw gids mag niet met u mee naar binnen, of om een kameeltocht (extra kosten) te maken.
Na een bezoek aan de piramides rijdt u langs het plateau om foto's te maken van de drie piramides die uit de zandvlakten oprijzen, met de skyline van Caïro op de achtergrond. Na een kort ritje naar de stadskant van het plateau komt u aan bij de voet van de Sfinx, al duizenden jaren het raadselachtige symbool van Egypte. In Gizeh kunt u ook een bezoek brengen aan het Solar Boat Museum (optioneel), thuisbasis van de opmerkelijk goed bewaard gebleven begrafenisboot van Khufu.
Uw volgende stop is Sakkara, de thuisbasis van de oudste piramide van Egypte, gebouwd in 2650 v. Chr. Uw gids geeft u een korte beschrijving van de geschiedenis van de beroemde trappiramide waarna u vrije tijd hebt om rond te wandelen.
De laatste stop is Memphis, de oude hoofdstad van Egypte. Hier ziet u artefacten van veel van de grote leiders van Egypte, inclusief het gevallen standbeeld van Ramses II. Ook kunt u een bezoek brengen aan een papyrusinstituut om te zien hoe deze beroemde kunstwerken worden gemaakt.

Our tour guide gave us a great day in Cairo seeing so many impressive and significant sites. We enjoyed his knowledge and passion for Egypt. I would recommend him for future visits.

This was the highlight of our tour and that's also because of our guide - Ahmed. He was an absolute delight, incredibly chatty and knowledgable and so eager to give us information about Egypt and the sights we saw. He talked to us about the history of Egypt as well as Egyptian life in the 21st century. He was happy to chat to us about anything! We also had additional stops on the tour including a camel ride in Giza to see the 9 pyramids, a visit to an Egyptian Cotton shop, the papryus institute and a visit to a carpet/rug making shop. The pyramids and Sphinx in Giza is mindblowing, the statue of Ramesis was also very impressive. The 1st pyramid in Sakkara was very interesting. Our driver was great too - the traffic in Giza/Cairo is chaotic and manic so it was nice to be driven around by an expert haha We didn't eat in a restaurant as Ahmed wanted to cram as much into the day as possible so we picked up falafal and the most amazing authentic chicken Shawarma to eat while we drove to our next destination. I cannot recommend this tour highly enough!

THe guide skipped the Boat museum and had me pay for my own lunch, then led me into a high pressure sales pitch from a perfume seller on the way back to hotel. Egypt is full on con artist and pushy street peddlers. They extend to the local tour companies as well. BEWARE

This tour was amazing I would highly recommend it there are so many incredible sights to see included in this! Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and helpful, he knew the best spots for photos and took so many great shots for us. We really enjoyed our day.

Starts early and ends early giving you time to rest or do other things. You get to see everything you want to see in the Cairo area. Perhaps adding on the museum would be a nice touch? Both the driver and guide both named Ahmet were excellent and knowledgable.

Fantastic tour. Our guide, Emmy Eman was so lovely, knowledgeable and caring. She ensured we got to see everything we wanted to. Also our driver was protective of us, particularly the kids, ensuring they were safe as we were crossing roads. The Sekkara pyramid was a highlight, particularly going inside, while the camel ride to see the view of the 9 pyramids was fantastic although this was an extra cost. Great day, worth every cent and fantastic experience.
