Your OTC guide will collect you from your accommodation and transport you to Kirstenbosch Gardens from where the Skeleton Gorge hike starts. Before starting on the hike wander around with your guide and see the spectacular displays of plants at Kirstenbosch and marvel at this botanical beauty on the majestic slopes of the East side of Table Mountain.

This is one of the most popular routes to the upper cable car which goes via Maclears Beacon. With a luscious canopy of green indigenous trees and dense fynbos (indigenous only to Table Mountain), this popular route includes fantastic views of Robben Island, Cape Town City, West Coast and the Twelve Apostles.

If you would rather do a round trip then a return trip down Nursery Ravine back to Kirstenbosch can be done. After the hike, whether it ends at the lower cableway, or taking Nursery Ravine back down to Kirstenbosch Gardens, your guide will transport you back to your accommodation.

This hike takes approximately 5 - 7 hours

and is an adventurous hike suitable for the whole family.
