Stop At: Araksa Tea Garden, 75 Moo1 Bangchang Maetang Chiangmai 50150 Tambon Ban Chang, Amphoe Mae Taeng, Chang Wat Chiang Mai 50150, Thailand

This 2-hour excursion (morning and afternoon) brings you and your travel companion(s) from downtown Chiang Mai to the rolling, green hills of the Mae Tang District, around 60 kilometres north of the Rose of the North. The scenic ride takes one of northern Thailand’s most prized routes, passing villages, forests and great vistas over the plains and rural regions. Upon arrival at the Araksa Tea Plantation, the leading institute for the cultivation and quality assurance of India’s much-praised and adored Assam tea. The quality of this black tea has been carefully monitored to stay in line with the origins in India. Upon arrival, you receive an introduction on the processes what steps are into the process to get from seed to serve in its well-known liquid form. Local resident tea leaf pickers invite you to head into the plantation and explain the expertise that is needed to get picking the right leaves before moving to the tea processing area. This 2-hour excursion ends with sampling a cup of Assam tea with some Thai snacks before you make your way back to Chiang Mai and your booked hotel.

This tour is operated on private transfer basis from and to the starting point but the customers will join with other customers.
This excursion is not suitable for wheelchair users.
Part of this excursion includes walking over unpaved roads and paths. This may not suit guests with walking issues. Bear in mind that such paths may turn slippery / muddy after a rain shower. We suggest wearing good walking shoes, preferred closed shoes, when booking this tour.
We always will make efforts to confirm the exact pick-up time upon reservation. For any operational issues in which are not able to confirm the exact pick-up time in advance, we reserve the right to inform you the day before the departure of the tour.
Please ensure that you bring sunglasses, a hat /cap and sunblock with a high SPF factor when traveling with us on this tour – even when it is cloudy, the sunrays still have an immense power.
It is the responsibility of the customer to provide us with the correct hotel information, should pick-up and drop-off services be included in the package. Any changes in accommodation outside 48 hours will be handled accordingly: changes within 48 hours may be on request.
We highly recommend not bringing children under 12 on this tour due to the nature of this excursion. We regret that we cannot be held responsible for any discomfort to the child during these days, should you bring infants and children.
