Join our cooking class run by Akha people who were born and raised in Thailand. We love Thai food just as much as you, so we would like to invite you to experience Akha food and Akha culture. Our chef will share some unique cooking style during the lesson as well as introducing fresh raw ingredients used by Akha people.

During the cooking class, you will have the opportunity to learn and cook 11 dishes: 2 appetizer dishes, 2 desserts, stir fried dish, soup, curry paste and curry. Special Akha’s dishes are Sapi Thong (tomato dipping sauce), Akha Salad and Akha Soup.

On the morning tour your chef will take you to a local market to see the real lifestyle of people in Thailand or for the evening tour, enjoy your dinner from all the food you made in a nice evening atmosphere. Our driver will transfer you back to your hotel after the class with a complimentary cooking recipe book.

I talked my husband and two children (ages 14 and 17) into doing this and we were not disappointed! We did the afternoon class and were picked up on time and taken to the kitchen. Niti was wonderful! She was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful to everyone there. She answered questions and gave us a lot of fun cultural information. Both of my children (girl and boy) enjoyed the experience and my husband could not stop talking about how pleasantly surprised he was. We were absolutely stuffed by the end so don't eat at all before you go! We were given spices and a recipe book at the end and will put them to good use when we get back to the States. We would highly recommend this class to everyone! The price is amazing for all of the things you get and we will cherish the memories! Thank you so much for making our stay in Chiang Mai even more fun!

This is a must when visiting Chiang Mai! My boyfriend and I had such a great day visiting the local market first then onto the kitchen to cook so many different dishes! Make sure you have an empty tummy when arrive! :)
