De Dark Hedges werden 270 jaar geleden geplant door de familie Stuart langs de oprit naar hun landhuis Gracehill Manor. Het is nu het meest gefotografeerde natuurverschijnsel in Noord-Ierland.

Deze werelderfgoedlocatie van Noord-Ierland mag u niet missen. Het is de populairste toeristische attractie van het land, en dat is niet voor niets. Geniet van het prachtige uitzicht op zee en verwonder u over de ontzagwekkende zeshoekige en veelhoekige stenen zuilen die de legendarische Causeway zelf vormen. Sommige daarvan zijn ruim 12 meter hoog. De Giant's Causeway werd in 1986 uitgeroepen tot werelderfgoed.

Carrick-a-Rede is een verlaten visserseiland dat op slechts enkele kilometers van de Giant's Causeway ligt. Deze 27 meter diepe kloof wordt overspannen door een traditioneel gebouwde touwbrug die moedige bezoekers beloont met waarschijnlijk de meest schitterende uitzichten van het land. Als het mooi weer is en de brug open is, kunt u de touwbrug gratis oversteken!

U zult ongeveer 1 uur doorbrengen in Belfast. Belfast heeft een zeer compact stadscentrum als een erfenis van de Troubles, ook internationaal bekend als het Noord-Ierse conflict. Bezoek de Crown-bar, Big Fish, Albert’s Clock en nog veel meer bezienswaardigheden in het centrum van de stad terwijl u winkelt of iets te eten koopt voor uw reis terug naar Dublin.

Het ophaalpunt bevindt zich in het stadscentrum, dus er is geen parkeerplaats waar passagiers hun auto de hele dag kunnen parkeren.
Ga naar het toilet voordat u naar het ophaalpunt gaat. Breng een lunchpakket en draag comfortabele kleding, comfortabele schoenen en een waterdichte jas.

Northern Ireland is very beautiful. Even the travelling time was long from Dublin, Chloe and Captain John made it a very lively and fun drive. They prepared music and told jokes and talked about history. Also, they were firm and clear about the time. Every stop went smoothly. Had a wonderful time.

The sites visited were absolutely worth visiting and beautiful. The rope bridge and Giant’s Causeway were both 20-30 minute walks from the drop off sites, so you had 40-60 minutes of walking to and from the attraction leaving only about 30 minutes at each attraction, which left them feeling a bit rushed.

This was the highlight of our trip to Ireland. The landscapes are picture perfect. I totally recommend this trip. The tour guide was entertaining and professional. The trip seems long but when you are there you wish you have more time to enjoy these wonderful views of Ireland.

Wonderful sites. Giant's causeway, Donluce Castle, Rope Bridge, Belfast. Everything. Amazing. The guide (Gavin) and the driver were knowledgeable, funny and we learnt a lot about Ireland and its past. The pace of the tour was ok, allowing enough time to enjoy all the places seen. I strongly reccommend it. Finn McCools tours are great.

Highly recommend this tour! Although it is a long day, it is well worth it, especially if you are on limited time while visiting Ireland. Tour guide was highly knowledgeable about Northern Ireland and kept it fun while on the bus. The sites we visited were just breath taking. They give you ample time at each destination, but because of the beauty I could’ve stayed longer. Bring a packed lunch so you don’t waste anytime.

When we arrived at the meeting spot, there were 3 buses lined up. We had an Employee approach us quickly and point us to the direction of the right bus. We left right on time to start our day. Our guide for the day was Laurence and our driver was Yuri. We can not say enough good things about them! Laurence gave us helpful information along the way, and also gave us some time to just relax and rest. His attitude and friendliest went a long way. And Yuri did an excellent job at driving the bus. For the tour itself, we had plenty of time at each stop. We did stop at a store along the way to get some food for throughout the day,which was nice. The Giants Causeway is a must see! The Carrick-a-Rede rope bridge was amazing also. We also appreciated the history we were given on each of these. We did make a quick stop to see the Dark Hedges, which for the GOT lovers was great. We had about an hour stop in Belfast, and Laurence led the group to some shops and a pub or gave them directions to other locations they might be interested in. The bus was always at the listed pickup location and at the time they said. I know that McCool Finn Tours is a newer tour company, but don't let that stop you from booking with them. Our group enjoyed the day fully and would book another tour with them without a doubt!
