Uw privé-Outlanderavontuur begint 's ochtends als u wordt opgehaald bij uw centraal gelegen hotel Edinburgh. U ontmoet uw gids en gaat op weg naar de wilde Schotse Hooglanden en de filmlocaties voor de populaire fantasy-serie. Onderweg hoort u de details van de show, naar de boeken van Diana Gabaldon over een verpleegkundige uit de Tweede Wereldoorlog die terug in de tijd reist naar het Schotland van de jaren 1740 tijdens de opstand van de Jacobijnen.

Uw eerste stop is het charmante dorpje Falkland, verscholen in de Lomond Hills. Wandel door de stad die diende als decor van het Inverness van 1947 en zie de kerk die Danleigh Parish Church voorstelt en stop voor een foto bij Campbells Café. Na de rondleiding heeft u even de tijd om zelf de plaats te verkennen - waar de jonge Mary Stuart haar gelukkige kindertijd doorbracht! - en te lunchen (op eigen kosten).

Na de lunch reist u verder naar het middeleeuwse kasteel Doune - het fictieve Castle Leoch in Outlander. Luister naar de verhalen over de gruwelijke 18e-eeuwse veldslagen in het gebied tijdens de opstand van de Jacobijnen, zowel fictieve verslagen als echte oorlogsvoering. Maak een paar foto's van het kasteel van buiten of volg een rondleiding binnen (op eigen kosten).

Vervolgens bezoekt u Culross (oftewel Cranesmuir), waar de personages Geillis en Arthur Duncan wonen en verder naar Jamie Fraser's huis in Lallybroch. Bonus! Uw privétour biedt exclusieve toegang tot de gesloten filmlocatie in Lallybroch.

Geniet tijdens uw reis van weinig bekende verhalen over de productie van de show. Test uzelf met leuke weetjes over clans, oorlog, Schotse geschiedenis en de kenmerkende Outlander-personages!

Uw 9-uur durende tour eindigt wanneer u vroeg in de avond terugkeert naar uw hotel in Edinburgh.

My guide was Gerry and he personally made this experience unforgettable. He was dressed in his kilt and was immediately wanting to know where we wanted to go and see and guided our trip to our interests. He was so knowledgable about the books as well as the tv series. He gave us so many stories and facts that our day was filled to the brim .I can not imagine this tour without Gerry.

We went on a brilliant bespoke Outlander adventure. Tony our guide was ever helpful, charming and knowledgeable about Outlander and more scottish history. We stopped at delightful Outlander locations but also beautifully preserved traditional scottish villages, which otherwise wouldn't have made it onto the tourist map. This was a fabulous day trip we took August 18. The kilt-wearing Tony gave us a well-informed experience. He is truly a Scotsman that loves his country and it shows in his knowledge of the 'Outlander' series and the facts he presented about the show and the locations where it is filmed. It was a glorious day! Tony exposed us to the real jewels of Scotland - and we will never be the same! You won't be disappointed taking a tour with Tony. The tour was outstanding. Gerry our tour guide was so knowledgeable about the show and exactly what happened at each site, producing pictures and pointing out exactly where everything happened. But more importantly, the beautiful places we saw in the Scottish countryside could not be equaled and Gerry gave us the history and character of these great little towns. This is a day that cannot be missed.
