Your artist tutor for this unique experience in Florence is either a professional sculptor or an artist classically trained in painting. Their light-filled studio, with its original artworks and expertly recreated pieces, is an exquisite showcase of their skill as well as a great inspiration for you.

With hands-on instruction, your art-expert guide will impart the secrets behind ancient techniques and modern methods.

You’ll also be inspired simply by being in Florence, one of the greatest art cities of all time. This is the birthplace of the Renaissance and home to the some of the world’s greatest artists and artworks, from Michelangelo, Leonardo, Donatello, Botticelli and a host of other Old Masters.

All materials will be supplied to your small group of up to 8 people. Choose to paint a still life or create your very own copy of a famous work. Or perhaps you’d rather sculpt, finding inspiration to form the figure of your choice.

This painting or sculpting class runs at either 10am or 1pm, year-round, upon request. The lesson lasts around 3 hours and is suitable for all ages and skill levels.

Please inform us of your preference for either painting or sculpting at the moment of booking.

We did the painting intro session which teaches you how to combine colours and see the difference between various shades on the painting. It also teaches some basic techniques when working with oils. It was informative and also a lot of fun and I highly recommend it.

A wonderful way to spend a day in Florence. if you have an extra day in Firenze after the tours of the must see’s, do this class. It is great fun and Laura and Frank are really helpful and kind.You will be surprised by the result and as a beginner I was pretty pleased with my torso sculpture.Thoroughly enjoyed my morning. Highly recommended. x

Had a great time painting with Laura! I do have quite a bit of painting experience, but I've never worked with oils. I think she broke down color mixing and the process easy enough for a beginner, but it was still challenging for . I was thrilled with my final painting! Definitely recommend this class if you enjoy painting!
