U ontmoet uw chauffeur vlak bij station Santa Maria Novella in het centrum van Florence voor het begin van uw tour. Stap in uw minibus met airconditioning en geniet van de korte rit naar een betoverende 17e-eeuwse villa. De villa ligt tussen smalle heuvelachtige wegen, olijf- en wijngaarden en is een rustige oase die op slechts enkele minuten van het bruisende stadscentrum van Florence ligt.

Ontmoet na aankomst de wijnboer voor een tour over het terrein. Kijk uit naar wilde konijnen en fazanten die u zo maar tegen kunt komen en luister naar uw gastheer die gewilde geheimen over wijnbereiding en verhalen over de prestaties van de wijngaard met u deelt.

Tijdens de wandeling leert u hoe de villa wijn maakt van merlot-, sangiovese-, cabernet sauvignon-, chardonnay- en pinot bianco-druiven. Nadat u het ongelooflijke proces van wijnbereiding hebt ontdekt, proeft u enkele van de bijzondere wijnen van de villa, waaronder twee rode, een witte en een dessertwijn. Geniet van de verschillende smaken die uw tong beroeren.

Ga vervolgens in de tuin van de villa zitten, als het weer het toelaat, of anders in de villa zelf voor een Toscaans 4-gangendiner. Dineer met lokale culinaire specialiteiten zoals crostini (kleine sneetjes gegrild of geroosterd brood met beleg), prosciutto, Parmezaanse kaas en Pienza pecorinokaas, pasta, en een traditioneel gerecht met vlees en aardappelen. Vegetarische opties zijn ook beschikbaar. Geniet van de heerlijke combinatie van regionale ingrediënten met het prachtige uitzicht. Proef daarna een traditioneel Italiaans dessert terwijl de zon langzaam achter de horizon verdwijnt.

Ga met een volle maag en geleste dorst terug naar uw minibus met airconditioning en ontspan tijdens de korte reis terug naar het beginpunt.

Although we enjoyed our evening at the private Tuscan villa, it left a little to be desired, especially when compared to the description of the event. We did a brief tour of the villa and learned the basics of wine making. We then were in a small room in the villa for the "four course" dinner. The first course, which was an assortment of meats and cheeses, was by far the best course. The second course was pesto pasta, which was no better than the pesto pasta we had on the plane to Italy. The third and main course was pork, which is not something we would see in restaurants around Italy. It was served with potatoes and a simple salad of iceburg lettuce. Finally, we had the last course, which was just a small biscotti. The guide for the night was not the villa's winemaker, like advertised, but was a sommelier from America. The best part about the evening was getting to get out of the city for a night and we did enjoy that. We ended up sneaking out of the dinner for a few minutes to enjoy the sunset, which was gorgeous. However, given the price of this item, I would not recommend it. You could find better tours of a Tuscan villa and get a better dinner at almost any restaurant in Florence for a fourth of the price.

Tour and hospitality was great but ordered $295 of wine that has not been delivered after over 30 days. Also, very poor communication from the winery.

The short ride to the hills near Chianti from downtown Florence took about 15 minutes. The villa was gorgeous, the guide (Lizzy) was knowledgeable and so nice, and the grounds surrounding the place we serene and tranquil. Even the owner came out and spoke with us for about 15 minutes, divulging some of his family history. Once the hour-long tour was complete, you tasted the wine and had a 4-course meal. Everything was delicious. I've been to Italy a dozen times, and have done many wine tours. This experience was perfect, because you received the best of Italy--a beautiful villa, great wine, and delicious food--without sitting on a bus for hours and driving from town-to-town, like traditional wine tastings.

We really enjoyed our tour and the dinner. Our guide was very knowledgeable and treated us as a guest in the Villa. Was a very enjoyable evening!

This villa on its gorgeous grounds is a small-producing winery. It makes excellent olive oil and wines that are not marketed but only sold on the estate. We toured the grounds, learned the wine-making process, tasted several full-glasses of wines with aperitifs in the cellars, and had a fabulous dinner in the dining room. Very, very fun, and we highly recommend it!
