Duik in het historische centrum van Florence met een drie uur durende wandeltocht inclusief Galleria dell'Accademia, de Ponte Vecchio, de Duomo en het Piazza della Signoria. Uw lokale gids zal u wijzen op de architectuur uit de middeleeuwen en renaissance terwijl u door de tijdloze straten van Florence wandelt.

U begint uw tocht met directe toegang tot de Galleria dell'Accademia waar u Michelangelo's David van 5,17 meter kunt bewonderen.

De Duomo van Brunelleschi domineert de skyline van Florence en weet altijd indruk te maken. Stap bij de imposante kathedraal van Santa Maria del Fiore naar binnen. Op zondagen en religieuze feestdagen kan de kathedraal beperkt open zijn. Vergaap u aan de deuren van het Baptisterium door Ghiberti, door Michelangelo de 'poorten van het paradijs' genoemd.

Leer van uw gids meer over de fascinerende geschiedenis van Florence tijdens uw bezoek aan het hart van het burgerlijke en politieke centrum van de Renaissance, beroemd om zijn oude standbeelden en schitterende fonteinen. Vervolgens gaat u naar de beroemde Galleria degli Uffizi en het middeleeuwse Palazzo Vecchio. We gaan verder naar het religieuze centrum en u maakt een stop bij de kerk van Orsanmichele waar u de ingenieuze standbeelden van beroemde kunstenaars als Donatello, Ghiberti en Verrocchio kunt bewonderen.

Bezoek het voormalige oude Forum, dat nu het Piazza della Repubblica en een populaire ontmoetingsplek voor schrijvers en artiesten is. Wrijf ook even over de neus van het beeld Il Porcellino (everzwijn) zodat u misschien nog eens naar Florence terugkeert! Uw tocht eindigt in Lungarno tegenover de Ponte Vecchio.

Let op: het vertrek om 16:30 uur gaat langs dezelfde bezienswaardigheden die u in de ochtend bezoekt, maar de tocht is wellicht specialer omdat het 's avonds rustiger is. De Duomo wordt echter niet bezocht omdat de kathedraal gesloten is. Er zal dan een uitgebreide bezichtiging van de buitenkant van de Duomo plaatsvinden.

We've done multiple Viator tours and they've all provided good value. This tour was no exception. From beginning to end the experience was informative and positive. If you are new to a city, I recommend doing at least one tour like this, it brings context to the area and allows you to figure out where you want to focus the rest of your time.

Skipping the line to get in to the Accademia Gallery and see the David is the best way. Our tour guide was Valentina. She was so knowledgeable and educated us about Florence, Michelangelo, the history, the art. It was a great tour. We highly recommend it. You can take photos of David- no flash. Wear comfortable shoes.
