Laat Galway achter u en rijd per luxe touringcar naar het zuidwesten richting de wereldberoemde Cliffs of Moher in County Clare. U reist langs schilderachtige kustwegen en stopt onderweg voor een bezoek aan schattige vissersdorpjes en historische bezienswaardigheden. De eerste halte is in Kinvara, een mooi vissersdorp dat bekendstaat om zijn hoofdattractie: Dunguaire Castle. Wandel er met uw gids omheen en luister naar de verhalen over de indrukwekkende geschiedenis die teruggaat tot de 16e eeuw.
Vervolg uw reis door Burren National Park - of gewoon 'the Burren' - en bewonder het uitermate intrigerende landschap met zijn glooiende heuvels die overdekt zijn met kalkstenen rotsen. In het park treft u tal van oude monumenten aan, zoals de Poulnabrone Dolmen, naar verluidt het meest gefotografeerde megalitische monument van het land, en het minder bekende Ballyalban Fairy Fort.
Even buiten het plaatsje Kilfenora stapt u uit om een aantal Keltische kruisen te bekijken en van uw gids iets over hun geschiedenis en symboliek te leren. In de buurt ligt het kleine kustdorpje Doolin. Hier gaat u lunchen in een van de legendarische pubs van het dorp, Gus O'Connors, dat befaamd is om de traditionele Ierse muziek en het lekkere eten.
De middag wordt doorgebracht bij de prachtige Cliffs of Moher, zonder twijfel het hoogtepunt van de dag. U hebt ongeveer twee uur om hier op uw gemak rond te lopen en te genieten van het onvergetelijke uitzicht op de Atlantische Oceaan en de Aran-eilanden. De klippen figureren in klassieke films zoals The Princess Bride en Harry Potter en de Halfbloed Prins en staan op de werelderfgoedlijst van UNESCO. Ze zijn de perfecte plek voor een heerlijke wandeling met onvergetelijke vergezichten.
U keert via de kustwegen naar Galway terug en geniet onderweg nog van een laatste pauze voor een wandeling over de Burren.

Paul was amazing !!! hilarious guide and very informative as well.Could not have asked for more really. Well worth the money!! Price includes the cliffs entry feee. I thought it was just enough time.... you have to move quickly tho.... so don't spend TOO much time in one place at the cliffs

The trip was well worth the time. We stopped along the way to see many places of historical significance, and of course the Cliffs had breathtaking views. Our driver Ken, also the guide explained the history of Ireland in detail ahead of the stops. Overall the tour was relaxing and enjoyable.

Very nice tour, our guide and driver Dave was excellent, very funny and informative, the countryside is beautiful and there is plenty to see, we had luck with the weather, it was sunny, I recommend taking this tour if you are in the neighbourhood

I Believe that our driver name is Ken, older gentleman, gray hair, the best tour driver ever, he lived in London for few years, the most professional and kind. This is my favorite tour from our visit in Ireland , we stopped in a small town for lunch, the food was amazing, restaurant name is O’Connors best fish and chips ! Great and fast service, highly recommend this tour.

My husband and I took this tour in January. Not the warmest time of year but if you’re prepared, you’ll be fine. Plus, the beauty of the countryside overshadows the weather. Our guide, Will was informative. The stops along the way were fantastic! Definitely pop into the chocolate shop next to Gus O’Connor’s Pub (where we had lunch) in Doolin. Delicious!!!

Well thought out and planned tour. Our tour guide, Gary, was very knowledgable, charismatic, and fun! The pub we stopped at for lunch in Doolin had great food and drinks and great service. Would recommend.

Great trip, but what made it best was our driver Tom, very informative and the trip was toms way versus following the other bus cattle line to the sites. If possible, ask for him, you won't regret it.We had great weather which of course makes all the sites that much more enjoyable to see.Bus pickup from the hotels was a plus as well.

It was beautiful and the trip to the cliffs of moher was entertaining and Mike our driver was funny and had a lot of stories. The only thing that could be improved would be where we had lunch. It was a packed small restaurant and we had a short time to eat and felt so rushed..food was good though. Would definitely book again.
