Eerste ontmoet u uw gids bij de drukke markt van Hội An, waar u de prachtige en kleurrijke bezienswaardigheden zult ervaren tijdens uw wandeling over de markt, die u laat kennismaken met de ingrediënten die in Vietnamese keukens worden gebruikt.
Vervolgens gaat u aan boord van de Red Bridge-boot voor een ontspannen cruise van 30 minuten langs de Hội An-revier naar de Red Bridge-kookschool. Onderweg kunt u genieten en foto's maken van het lokale leven op deze mooie rivier.
Bij aankomst bij de Red Bridge-kookschool, wandelt u door de overvloedige kruidentuin en komt u meer te weten over de kruiden die Vietnamese gerechten hun karakteristieke smaak geven. Ga vervolgens naar het open gebouw van de school aan de rivierkant, een mooie en levendige locatie voor uw kookles. De chefkoks tonen u de voorbereiding voor elk gerecht (zie het onderstaande menu) en helpen u alle gerechten zelf te leren bereiden. We voltooien de les van de dag, die ongeveer twee uur duurt, met een inleiding tot Vietnamese borddecoraties en etensnijwerk, wat werkelijk een kunst op zich is.

Great tour, guide who took us to market was very knowledgeable and funny too. Really great set up, chef teaching food explained things well and there was always someone on hand to help when we got stuck. Also really great alternatives for vegetarians during both cooking and the food afterwards, lots to eat! Great trip.

The Red Bridge cooking course is amazing - we loved it! Unfortunately, it was about 20 min. late starting, not sure why? But the walk through the market with the chef was very interesting and informative, followed by a 30-minute boat ride up the river which was great. The cooking school is on the banks of the river, open air, in a beautiful natural setting The actual cooking school was not only very informative about local foods, ingredients, and customs but it was fun, and the food we prepared was absolutely delicious. We were absolutely stuffed when we left! The only negative is the price! We thought it was really pricey when we booked but we have done cooking courses in restaurants before and we wanted a different experience. But 75 US pp is a ridiculous price and we were dismayed to learn, through talking to another couple at the course, that they paid 50 US pp through their travel agent, and they thought it was too pricey! We searched and searched the internet to try and find a better price, but all searches brought us back to Viator so we really didn't have any choice. This is the 4th excursion we've booked in various countries with Viator and always been satisfied, but feeling a little ripped off right now. Nothing to do with the Red Bridge cooking course - it's excellent. Very organized and well run - lots and lots of staff to staff to assist participants and make sure everyone was successful in their cooking and had a good time.
