Ga op eigen gelegenheid naar het verzamelpunt in het centrum van Londen en stap vervolgens aan boord van een comfortabele minibus voor een schitterende rit van 161 kilometer naar uw eerste bestemming, Stratford-upon-Avon, de geboorteplaats van de grootste toneelschrijver van Engeland, William Shakespeare.
Uw gids voorziet u van informatief commentaar terwijl u stopt bij de plekken in Stratford-upon-Avon die relevant zijn voor het leven van Shakespeare. U bezoekt bijvoorbeeld het geboortehuis van Shakespeare: het 16e-eeuwse huis waar hij werd geboren en heeft gewoond totdat hij een jonge man was. Ook brengt u een bezoek aan Holy Trinity Church, waar hij werd gedoopt en begraven. Tevens bezoekt u zijn school.
Na het verkennen van de woonplaats van de bard stoppen we even in Shottery, waar u een foto kunt maken van het huisje met rieten dak van Anne Hathaway, Shakespeare 's vrouw. Daarna gaat u verder zuidwaarts naar de Cotswolds, een prachtig gebied dat in de middeleeuwen welvarend werd door de wolhandel.
U rijdt langs smalle wegen door licht glooiende heuvels, honingkleurige dorpen, groene weiden en oude kerken. Met uw gids wandelt u door het middeleeuwse plaatsje Burford, verkent u het Coln-dal en ziet u de dorpen van Upper en Lower Slaughter voordat we stoppen voor de lunch (op eigen kosten) in de marktstad Stow-on-the-Wold.
Na de lunch verlaat u de Cotswolds en gaat u naar de stad Oxford, waar u de prestigieuze Oxford University vindt, opgericht in 1167. Volg uw gids op een rustige wandeling over het terrein van de universiteit, langs colleges zoals All Souls en de Divinity School, en plekjes waar beroemde schrijvers, kunstenaars en uitvinders gestudeerd hebben. Kom meer te weten over lokale beroemdheden zoals J.R.R. Tolkien, CS Lewis en Lewis Carroll, en bekijk locaties die zijn gebruikt in Harry Potter-films.
Neem de tijd om op eigen gelegenheid de smalle straatjes en het stadscentrum van Oxford te verkennen voordat u 's avonds terugkeert naar Londen.

We would like to share our travel experience to Oxford, the Cotswolds and Stratford Upon Avon. We were promptly picked up by our guide, Jose. He was very accommodating to everyone in the group and individualized the tour based on participants needs. We spent the entire day learning about the history, and detailed facts about each site. Jose made the whole experience memorable and entertaining. His energy and enthusiasm was contagious. A week later we were still talking about our day with Jose.

The company was Rabbi's company. The minibus was modern and spacious with excellent air conditioning. The driver and the guide were very sympathetic. The guide Dan was very nice and knowledgeable. Not enough time everywhere but it's hard to cram 3 places for one day. The trip is recommended. We will continue to travel with Rabbi's company

We loved our small tour group, which traveled in a comfortable, convenient van. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and had a great personality. The smaller size of our van allowed us to get close to the cottages in the Cotswolds and depart the bus for a stroll around the beautiful area and a bit of shopping. Our experience in walking around the Cotswolds was a highlight of our entire trip. The passengers on larger buses were prevented from departing the buses in the Cotswolds because the roads are so small and cant handle large vehicles. We enjoyed our visit to Stratford as well. We saw so much in a single day that we were quite amazed.

The trip was excellent and the diver/tour guide was wonderful. Private Group is the way to go-only 7 people in our group. First we went to Stratford-upon-Avon to see Shakespeares birth place. Walked through the house, got some great pictures. We had free time to check out the Main Street where I did some Christmas shopping. Then we headed to The Cotswolds- beautiful and scenic drive with lots of sightseeing and history along the way. Stopped in a tiny town called Stow-on-the-Wold for lunch at a pub founded in 947. We only had an hour here- wish we would have had more time! Lunch at the pub took the entire hour. More scenic driving- then arrived at Oxford. Had a local tour guide for this part- he was very knowledgeable. Walked all over, lots of great history and beautiful buildings. I definitely recommend this tour and will definitely book with them again.

Great having a small group - we only had 9 people for a 18 person tour. The bus was very comfortable. Our guide was great - great source of information. Loved Oxford, Cotswolds and Stratford upon Avon. Totally worth it.

Great tour. I'm so glad we booked this small group tour. Jorge sp? was our driver and guide. The pick-up location was easy to find and he found us! He was very knowledgeable and very funny. When we arrived at Oxford, he turned us over to local guide, Debbie who was equally terrific. She showed us many Harry Potter movie location sites. Both guides took very good care of us, answering all our questions and giving suggestions. We thoroughly enjoyed our day.
