Dagtrip vanuit Marrakesh naar de Ouzoud-watervallen
Bij aankomst ontmoet u uw professionele en deskundige lokale gids in een wandeling van ongeveer een uur en volgt u het pad naar de rand van de watervallen. Vervolgens aanschouwt u de gelaagde watervallen die van verschillende hoogten naar beneden storten in een natuurlijk amfitheater van rood gekleurde rotswanden. Absorbeer het bulderen van de watervallen terwijl u foto's maakt en met een beetje geluk ziet u Berberaapjes die bij het water samenkomen of een van de glinsterende regenbogen die in de mist worden gevormd rond het vallende water. Bezoek verschillende uitkijkpunten om de omgeving in u op te nemen, daal de trappen af naar de voet van de watervallen en verken de grotten waar watermolens worden gebruikt voor het malen van tarwe tot meel, waar de watervallen ook hun naam aan ontlenen. Nadat u de schitterende omgeving hebt bekeken, kunt u ontspannen tijdens de lunch in een van de restaurants langs het pad richting de watervallen met een schitterend uitzicht. Tot slot kunt u genieten van uw terugreis naar Marrakech, waar uw trip eindigt als u bij uw hotel wordt afgezet.

- A conservative dress code is recommended in Morocco. Men and women should keep their upper body (especially shoulders, chest and midriff) as well as their knees covered at all times as a sign of respect to the local culture. Wearing shorts is not recommended.
5 of us took a private tour day trip from Marrakech to the stunning Ouzoud Falls. The drive each way is around 2+ hours, but this was made very short by Mido, our driver and guide. We had a very enlightening discussion to and from the Falls, and all really enjoyed the conversation. There was a separate guide for our walk around the falls, but Mido insisted on joining also, and was very courteous and helpful to my wife during the slippier parts of the walk. Lunch at the Falls was excellent also.Overall, I thoroughly recommend both the tour and driver.
Great trip, highly recommend! Driver Jamal was fantastic. One word of warning: wear hiking/running shoes as there are parts where it's quite steep.
This place was beautiful. Would highly recommend staying a night there. Would definitely return. Expect long journey.
We were picked up spot on time at 8am from our hotel, our driver was pleasant and very polite, he helped us up into the vehicle and was quite the gentleman. On route to the Falls he gave us a little history on Marrakech, but I felt a little more info would have been appreciated. Its about a two and a half hour drive up to the Falls, once there we were elated at the views. We were then handed over to our walking guide, Salah, who looked after us for the next three hours. We went down the falls via dirt footpath, on route Salah gave us information history on the of Ouzoud Falls and the people who used to live in the caves in the rocks. He was very knowledgeable. Once at the bottom of the Falls, there are a few places to eat. You can also, if you dare, have a ride on a homemade raft which will take you under the waterfalls, you will get wet. Its roughly MAD 30 per person if there are five or more riding, otherwise its MAD 50. We then went to have lunch included in the price which was a choice of Beef Tajen or Chicken Skewers called Roasted Chicken and chips, this was served with seasoned chopped tomatoes and olives, dessert is also served after along with Mint Tea, a drink is also provided with the meal. Once lunch is finished we then made our journey back up to the top of the Falls, on route there are several venders which you can buy souvenirs from. Once at the top of the falls you then meet your driver who then takes you back to your hotel. A thoroughly enjoyable day and exhausting, this trip is not for those who are not fit. Will definitely recommend and would visit again. I would have given 5 stars if our driver had provided us with a little more info on the History of Marrakech and the Berbers, this decision was made as on a previous visit to Marrakech I did a trip to another part of the Atlas Mountains an our driver on that trip gave us far more information on the history of Marrakech and the Berbers.
Oh my gosh, this was the most fun of any tour we took. Our guide Mustafa was informative, but had such a good since of humor, it just made the tour so much fun!! Of course, the couple with us, Michael and Sherry from Sacramento were a blast!! Great Tour!! At times the stairs were challenging, but doable!!
This was a once in lifetime view of a remote mountain gem. Be willing to hike down and back up! some rugged, steep paths. Don't miss the macaque monkeys!
