Verona heeft veel archeologische bezienswaardigheden en een schitterend middeleeuws centrum. De Romeinse Arena, waar in de zomer concerten en opera's worden opgevoerd, is de grootste bezienswaardigheid van de stad. Het balkon van Julia is daarbij het belangrijkste punt voor liefhebbers van Shakespeare. U hebt tijd om de smalle straatjes met indrukwekkende middeleeuwse en renaissancegebouwen in het historische centrum van Verona te bekijken.

De mooie stadjes aan het Lago di Garda trekken al eeuwenlang buitenlandse bezoekers aan. De oude Romeinen trokken in de zomer massaal naar deze regio en in Sirmione en Desenzano kunt u de ruïnes en mozaïeken bezoeken die daar nog naar verwijzen.

Het mooie stadje Sirmione ligt aan de zuidelijke oever van het Gardameer, op het uiterste puntje van een lange landtong. De prachtige omgeving van Sirmione werd geprezen door de Romeinse dichter Catullus. De smalle middeleeuwse straatjes van de stad zijn kleurrijk en druk en de opvallendste bezienswaardigheid in de waterburcht, Rocca Scaligera. Maak een wandeling door een verwoeste Romeinse villa en bewonder archeologische vondsten - waaronder een mooie gravure van konijnen in het kleine museum.

Verona is incredible - the bridge, the lake, the towers, the castles and the coliseum. There were only like 15 of us on the trip which makes the tour easier for us to listen to the guide. She is obviously very knowledgeable about the Province of Verona, its rich history. The only criticism I have is she is too technical. I wish she injects a little bit of relatable stories about the province which makes it more interesting. The day of the tour was also too warm, but it was nice tour. Would recommend it.

Two beautiful places not to be missed .I know everybody like to go to Lake Como but there is something unique about Lake Garda .With Verona we were lucky to have visited Juliet's balcony early before the crowd built up . My compliments to our guide Sylvia . She was knowledgeable well spoken and very attentive

Great tour and was lovely to see Verona and the Roman area - the Juilet balcony area was extremely busy but was good that the tour guide showed us were to go and then left us with the option to visit in our spare time. Loved Lake Garda and actually preferred this lake for the water views and more relaxed then Lake Como - if I had the option to only visit one lake whilst in Milan it would be Lake Garda

The tour was very informative about both visits. The tour leader made sure she provided us with knowledge about the history of Verona and Lago di Garda and was very helpful. Both places are majestic. Verona is a beautiful city which i fell in love with. Lago di Garda provides views of the Austrian mountains. Both provide a really nice walking tours

We booked this trip as a secondary trip so we were not expecting too much. But we were more than pleasantly surprised. Verona its very nice town, with beautiful landscapes and buildings, many shops, good restaurants. The Verona guide was really good, very knowledgeable and provided many information. The lake Garda was another nice part of the trip, we didnt take the boat ride after reading other reviews and we were happy we didnt. It gave us more time to enjoy the town and lets say a speed boat its not really our thing. Overall, with the exception of the bus which was not very comfortable, leg room as in a plane all was perfect.
