De Milford Sound ligt verscholen in het Fiordland National Park, dat op de Werelderfgoedlijst staat, en wordt beschreven als het 'achtste wereldwonder van de natuur'. De enige manier om de pracht en praal van dit gebied echt te kunnen bewonderen, is aan boord van een spectaculaire Milford Sound-cruise.
Een cruise is de perfecte manier om de prachtige natuur van dit beroemde fjord te verkennen, inclusief de ongelofelijke Mite Peak, met een hoogte van 1692 meter een van de hoogste bergen in de wereld die direct vanaf de bodem van de oceaan de lucht in rijzen, evenals prachtige watervallen die in het serene water storten. Wilde dieren zoals dolfijnen, zeehonden en pinguïns zijn hier vaak in hun natuurlijke omgeving te zien. De Milford Sound-cruise langs de zuidelijke oever van Milford Sound richting de Tasmanzee en terug via de noordzijde stopt onderweg bij alle bezienswaardigheden, met inbegrip van Bowen Falls, Stirling Falls en Seal Point.

Car Park: bij aankomst op Milford Sound kunt u parkeren op parkeerterrein Milford Sound. Houd rekening met 10 minuten lopen van het parkeerterrein naar het bezoekerscentrum van Milford Wharf. Als alternatief biedt Discover Milford Sound een gratis pendeldienst.
Rolstoel toegankelijk op boot, maar geen gehandicapten toiletten aan boord. Het schip heeft grote kijkvensters, ideaal voor rolstoelen.

The boat, food, staff, and of course view was fantastic! The price was more than half off other sites.

This was an amazing tour. I had a fantastic time enjoying the Milford Sound Cruise. Waterfalls, Fog, Drizzles, Rough waters!! Carry a rain coat when you go on this cruise..

Milford Sound is absolutely beautiful, we went on a wet, drizzly day which meant the mountain tops were covered by cloud but the waterfalls were amazing and the scenery still spectacular. The boat was skillfully guided right under a waterfall which was thrilling for those of us who ventured to the bow. We had another bonus, maybe because of the rain, the sandflies didn't bother us at all.

Worth the time it took to get there. We had a day that was bright and sunny and so the experience was less dramatic than usual, but wonderful nonetheless.

Nature at its best. Got to the pickup point a little earlier to enjoy the surrounding areas of the jetty, and then the cruise itself. What a journey it was! Gorgeous waterfalls, the beautiful ocean and we were lucky enough to encounter wild dolphins making their way out to the bay. Also saw seals basking in the sun. An extremely memorable trip.

Boat trip was good. Quality of the buffet lunch was a bit better than average but overpriced and was served during the first half hour of the cruise 11.00 and 11.30 am. Would have been much better to have had lunch towards the end of the cruise, closer to the traditional midday meal time.
