U ontmoet uw gastheer/gastvrouw in het centrum van Napels en wandelt naar een restaurant in de buurt voor een 1,5 uur durende cursus pizza maken. Voor keukengerei en apparatuur wordt gezorgd tijdens de cursus en onder toeziend oog van uw pizzaiolo (pizzabakker), ontdekt u de culinaire geheimen achter het maken van een authentieke Napolitaanse pizza.
Napels heeft een verfrissende hou-het-simpel-houding ten aanzien van eten, en vertrouwt daarbij op de hoge kwaliteit van de lokale producten voor overheerlijke gerechten. Robijnrode tomaten, melkachtig-verse mozzarella, basilicum en DOP-olijfolie (Denominazione di Origine Protetta) zijn de hoofdbestanddelen in alle pizzeria's en u zult zelf ook de beste lokaal geproduceerde ingrediënten gebruiken tijdens uw kookcursus.
Bekijk hoe uw pizzaiolo het deeg mengt, kneedt en stretcht en probeer het vervolgens zelf! Napolitaanse pizza's hebben meestal een basis van iets meer deeg dan de knapperige Romeinse tegenhangers, en uw pizzaiolo legt u uit hoe het deeg de juiste consistentie krijgt. U makt een keuze uit verschillende toppings en gaat vervolgens lekker zitten wachten terwijl de pizza wordt gebakken!
Ontspan met andere liefhebbers van lekker eten in uw groep, klets over pizza in Napels en geniet van een drankje. Begin alvast met een voorgerecht van bruschetta e zeppoline (zeewierbruschetta). Daarna gaat u verder met uw eigen Napolitaanse pizza, voordat u afsluit met dolce del giorno met (dessert van de dag). Met deze kookervaring kunt u thuis zelf heerlijke pizza's maken om indruk te maken op uw vrienden en familie.

If you like pizza, like to make pizza and are visiting Naples - don't hesitate, just book this experience! It was so much fun making the pizzas and learning a few tips and tricks on how to make the perfect neapolitean pizza!

We were welcomed with two glasses of prosecco at the restaurant, which was a busy little restaurant in Naples. We were asked to wash our hands and make our way to the kitchen, where the chef demonstrated making a pizza first. We then made ours which was really fun - an enjoyable experience, highly recommend .

All was fun and interesting. Learned the history of pizza and the way of making it! Perfect night! Picked up from our hotel and taken to the restaurant where the driver acted as translator. Stayed for 2 hrs and then taken back to our hotel

The chef did not speak English which we did not mind...however the driver was our interpretor and he was difficult to understand. The class was fun...the chef was awsome!

This was amazing !! We are a couple. We wanted to discover the real italian cooking. We chose this experience for the amazing review and we were not disappointed at all. A driver picked us in the town, to drive us to the pizzeria. This is a new building on the East of the town, big and really cute. They welcomed us with drinks and appetizer. We met Armando the cooker who told us Neapolitan pizza's story. He made in front of us the typical pizza and we savored it. He had troubles to speak English but the driver stayed with us to translate. From theory to practice, we made our own pizza! Delicious! That was really fun, Armando was charming and we had a wonderful time. After the lesson we could enjoy our pizza in the restaurant. They offered us the dessert traditional Baba That was a really good time, thank you. I juste have an advice : don't eat too much for the breakfast !!

This was one of the highlights of our trip to Italy! We were picked up by Gianni(sp?), even though we didn't pay for transportation(I think it was because the restaurant was so far away from city center). He spoke great English, which was fantastic since our Italian was not very good. We picked up one other couple and went to a very modern restaurant(I think it was called Showtime) in an industrial district. We were served a plate of appetizers and some sort of fruity drink, all of which was great. When it came time for our lesson, we were greeted by Antonio, who was the pizziaolo. He spoke no English, but Gianni translated for us. He is a 3rd generation pizza maker, knew all of the history. He showed up how to make the dough, but we used dough he had already prepared when it came time to make our own, because it takes the dough 24 hours to be ready for use. We did everything, from stretching our own dough, putting on our toppings, to sliding it on the pizza peel. When they came out of the wood fired oven, WOW! We were seated in the restaurant, given a glass of wine and left to enjoy the fruits of our labor. Afterwards, we were given a very tasty chocolate cake. Afterwards, Gianni dropped us off where we wanted. The only down side is, now that we're back in the States, all the pizza is terrible.

This was an amazingly fun experience for both the adults and the teens in our group! The staff was so warm and accommodating! HOW IT WORKED: We were picked up near our Airbnb and driven to a beautiful restaurant where the class was hosted. We were greeted by the host and the staff immediately. The host shared a bit of history about pizza and a few fun facts about Naples, while the wait staff served us small bites, drinks and fresh buffalo mozzarella balls. So yummy! Afterwhich, we were able to flatten our dough and create our pizzas. The staff then placed the pizza on the long stemmed, wooden spatula type thing and cooked the pizzas (right in front of us) in the old school fire ovens. It was neat to watch. The pizza literally cooks in less than 2mins! After everyone made their pizzas, we feasted on our pizzas. They even served us (the adults) wine and surprised us all with delish desserts at no additional charge. It was a perfect way to end our first night in Naples! We definitely recommend this class!
