Stop At: Grand Central Terminal, 89 E 42nd Street, New York City, NY 10017-5503
Marvel at the magnificent terminal that was built in 1913 and is still a very relevant place for all New Yorkers. Learn about the history of its construction and uncover some secret stories. We’ll also bring you down to an intimate whisper gallery and through a secret passageway to make a secret exit away from all the crowds.

Next we’ll wander into a giant food hall known by locals as a great place to get lunch in the hustle and bustle of Midtown. Comprised of over 20 local food vendors, there is something for everyone. We have a sample from one of our favorites.

Stop At: The Kneeling Fireman, 6 E 43rd St Between Madison and Fifth, New York City, NY 10017-4609
On certain days, we pass by this tribute to the firefighters who lost their lives during the 9/11 attacks. It’s an emotional memorial on a side street and most tourists never get to see it.

Stop At: Rockefeller Center, 45 Rockefeller Plaza Rockefeller Centre, New York City, NY 10111-0100
See the famous sites from movies and television shows as we wander around the plaza passing ice skaters in the winter and art installations in the summer. Admire the artwork all around, including one with a fascinating story inside the Comcast Building (aka 30 Rock). Then head down to the underground concourse and see how locals navigate through this city within a city.

On weekends, we’ll have a chance to gawk at the beautiful marble building that is a temple of learning. See the famous lions named Patience and Fortitude and head up to the majestic Rose Reading Room, where many New Yorkers do their research.

The only park in Midtown had a storied, infamous past. We learn about what used to be here and take advantage of the amazing public space today. During the holiday months, you can take a quick look at the local markets and in the summer, hang with the locals on the lawn soaking up rays.

Stop At: Diamond District, Ave of the Americas & W 47th St, New York City, NY 10036
On most days, we’ll make our way through this bustling district along 47th Street. Admire the bling, avoid the salesman on the street, and let us bring you up to a secret little kosher restaurant for a savory treat.

Take in the lights of Broadway, along with all the sounds and smells of Times Square. We talk about how this all began, discuss the changes that have happened, and introduce you to a series of secret passageways that will help combat the crowds.

I am a New Yorker, born and raised here and I have seen things I never new existed. Easier ways to get around the city. Almost like secret passage ways. Going thru buildings to save time and steps to get to where I want to go. Eateries I never knew existed. Great food at great prices, yes in New York City. If you want a great time for a few hours, this is the tour to take for everyone of all ages. And, to make it even better, we had the best guide ever, Brian. Thank you so much Brian, for making our day so delightful and insightful. Can't wait to go on another tour with you guys!!!!
An easy walk with lots of interesting stories and good food along the way. Josh was knowledgable and passionate about New York and food. The small group was perfect--7 in ours. It didn't feel like a bunch of tourists in the way or bunched together trying to hear someone with an umbrella. I recommend this tour and Viator for booking good tours.
Our guide, Josh, really pours his best efforts in trying to show you around Midtown the eats and sights. He is very knowledgeable, friendly and passionate and offers great insight to the mysteries of how the New Yorkers eat and move around this busy area. Of course there is a fair amount of walking and Josh does slow the pace down a bit if necessary. This is a great tour to get a glimpse into the eats of NYC.
This is a neat tour if you plan to spend time in Times Square. The tips on avoiding crowds in certain areas were very helpful. Every place we visited for food samples were very good especially the Pizza and that fabulous donut. The walking was not bad, do to the times we stopped. I loved hearing the history of he busy and beautiful Grand Central Terminal and the some of the history of Times Square. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. I just wish he would on E-mail me the names of all the places we visited like he promised, because I did not write them down. When I visit NY again I would like to go to those places again.
Our guide Brian was the best! Great tour of the area, great food, great history of the Midtown Sights. If you get a chance to do this tour, ask for Brian and enjoy!
It was really great! Josh was personable, striking just the right tone of balanced historical knowledge with the current feel and energy of the area. The food samples were right on target too. I just wish my daughter and I had allowed more time! Next visit for sure!! Thanks Again! Cathy and Jaclyn
