U hebt gekozen voor de 4 uur durende tour naar Monaco en omgeving, waarschijnlijk uw slimste beslissing wanneer u de Franse Rivièra bezoekt.
Nadat u bij uw hotel bent opgehaald door onze Engelssprekende gids, rijdt u in een minibusje naar de schilderachtige Corniche Moyenne, een van de drie kustwegen tussen Nice en het Vorstendom Monaco.
Het zal niet lang duren voordat u realiseert hoe prachtig de rit is. Als u niet ver verwijderd bent van de stad, rijdt u door de heuvels van Villefranche-sur-Mer en kijkt u uit over de baai. Een zeer goede gelegenheid om foto's te maken.
U bent nog niet eens halverwege en u maakt al een stop om een van de mooiste dorpen van Frankrijk te verkennen: Eze. Rijk aan geschiedenis, bevindt dit dorp zich op een verbluffende locatie op meer dan 400 meter hoogte boven de zee, een unieke plek op aarde.
Keer weer terug bij uw gids en grijp om de hoek de kans aan om de beroemde parfumfabriek Fragonard te bezoeken en de geheimen van deze geurenwereld te ontdekken…
Na ongeveer anderhalf uur in Eze stapt u weer in het busje en reist u verder langs de kust totdat u bij de Grande Corniche bent aangekomen, de hoogste weg vanwaar u uitzicht hebt over de oudste Romeinse overblijfselen aan de Franse Rivièra: de 'Trofee van de Alpen' in het dorpje La Turbie.
Daar begint u aan de afdaling naar de stadstaat Monaco en het prinselijk paleis op 'Le Rocher' (de rots), net op tijd voor de wisseling van de wacht (alleen 's ochtends). Dan krijgt u wat vrije tijd om door de oude stad te wandelen en bijvoorbeeld een souvenir te kopen of om het uitzicht vanaf de St. Martin-tuinen te bewonderen. U moet zeker eens een bezoek brengen aan de kathedraal van Monaco en de kapel met de wijlen prinsen en prinsessen.
Vervolgens gaat u letterlijk de goede weg op met uw gids, aangezien hij van start tot finish over het stratencircuit van de prestigieuze Monaco Grand Prix rijdt!
Maak een stop bij het casino van Monte Carlo en zie de verzameling luxe auto's in de buurt. Maak kans om zelf ook een aantal muntjes te vergokken in dit prachtige gebouw (€ 10, alleen 's middags) en leg de schitterende architectuur in het casino in uw geheugen vast.

This day was definitely a special one - we got to see the stunning village of Eze - which is what you see in postcards. Don't miss the garden - which is pat of Eze - but you have to pay 6 Euros per person - but well worth it - especially if you want pics of a lifetime. Of all the medieval villages - this is the most picturesque with panoramic views throughout. Wear comfy shoes - we had on flip-flops as it was hot, but probably should have had on our sneaks. You can get a little winded climbing all of the stairs, but something to not be missed. This was our favorite thing we've done while here for 2 weeks! Monaco is also unique and we got to see the changing of the guards (we just made it with 5 minutes to spare) - and how lucky we were to see the Prince arriving into the palace in his high end black BMW as he pulled in through the crowds awaiting the changing of the guards. Only had about 30 minutes here - wish we had another 30 minutes more to have lunch and maybe walk around a bit. That would be our only negative. We had probably the most thorough guide yet - she spoke German and English which came in handy as we had 2 people from Slovakia with us on our time. She knew every detail of everything we saw - so it was so nice to hear her perspective! Fantastic trip - make sure you sign ip for this one!

We have teenage sons who can be tough to please. They enjoyed this trip and our tour guide,Jenna, did an excellent job and made some adjustments to the trip to maximize our experience. I am very glad I didn’t try to drive to see these areas as driving in Monaco would be particularly tough to navigate. Also, Jenna provided very interesting commentary on the areas we drove through. Highly recommend the trip.

Our tour guide had a great command of the English language and was able to not only explain the sites and countryside but provided interesting commentary on every day life in France. Also had a good sense of humor !

With 4 different countries represented on this small tour, the driver was professional , very personable , knowledgeable about the area and gave a feeling of caring about doing his best. It wish he was our drivers on other tours we took. He was on time and gave instructions clearly. The drive to Monoco was spectacular.
