Maak om 10:00 uur in het centrum van Parijs kennis met uw gids en wandel door het mooie 12e arrondissement. Dit arrondissement is zeer populair bij de Parijzenaars, maar wordt door de toeristen vaak over het hoofd gezien. Uw plaatselijke gids neemt u mee naar de Marché d'Aligre, een levendige, deels overdekte markt waar van alles wordt verkocht, van oude grammofoonplaten tot aardewerk en zelfgemaakte jam.
Met de hulp van uw lokale gids ontdekt u de fantastische delicatessenwinkels in de Marché d'Aligre, waar u met de verkopers kunt discussiëren over hun passie en alles kunt vragen wat u maar wilt weten. Bezoek meerdere kaas- en chocoladewinkels en La Graineterie, een zadenwinkel die stamt uit 1895 en waar tegenwoordig naast zaden ook speciale soorten bloem, kruiden, thee en klassieke snoepjes verkocht worden. Geniet van uw wijn-, kaas- en chocoladeproeverijen, die alle bij de tour zijn inbegrepen.
Aan het einde van deze 2 uur durende wandeltocht zal uw gids u met alle plezier aanwijzingen geven zodat u op eigen gelegenheid de wijk en de Marché d'Aligre verder kunt gaan verkennen en net zoals de Parijzenaars op zoek kunt gaan naar lekkernijen.

The tour was great, our guide wonderful, and getting the opportunity to walk through some of the markets was fabulous. My only complaint has to do with the directions. We were specifically told to meet at the newsstand next to the Café du Faubourge. Problem is, the Café is there but the closest newsstand is 2 blocks away. So imagine the anxiety of trying to figure out whether you are in the right place. Finally a tour guide with another tour company noticed us pacing back and forth with the papers in our hand and made a call on our behalf. Our guide told us she has repeatedly asked them to correct the instructions for MONTHS to no avail. Perhaps now they will.

If you like getting off the beaten track, this is for you. The two of us were met by a knowledgeable guide named David, who was fun and entertaining. We spent the morning ambling through this old market, listening to the banter, looking at fresh food of all kinds, asking questions and getting answers, being able to see so much fresh fruit and vegetables which we do not see at home. We collected fresh baguettes, cheese and wine then leaned on a barrel eating bread and cheese, drinking wine and watching the world go past. For a quite unique experience, we would so recommend this tour.

This was the best tour we took on our trip. David Jornet was a great host, he knew so much about the history of the market, the culture, and the food. The real stars of the tour was the fantastic cheeses and chocolate we got to try. We would take this tour again, if we ever get back to Paris!

David was fantastic. He is very knowledgeable and very friendly. He took time to answer all our questions and never seemed rushed. The wine and cheese were very good. All the merchants were very friendly. I highly recommend this tour.

I did not enjoy this tour. I could have done it without the tour guide. David was unprofessional. Instead of leading the tour the group was leading it.

The lady that led the tour didn't really seem to know much about the area. There was a lot of wandering around and her not saying much. Considering my wife and I were the only two people on the tour, you would think that it would have been easy to give us plenty of details. There wasn't much food on the tour either. It included 5 small pieces of cheese, a half bottle of wine to share between the two of us, and two pieces of chocolate to share. We did a food walking tour in Rome and it was great. Plenty of food and knowledgable guides. This tour, on the other hand, was awful. At least the vendors at the wine and chocolate shops were nice.

This was a great tour that took us through some markets in Paris and gave us a nice overview of the finer points of French shopping, wine, cheese and chocolate. Our guide, Francois, was very knowledgable and fun to spend time with. I would highly recommend this tour!
