The freedom we had on this small, mostly private car tour, was great, as was our guide. This really worked out well for us.

I can't think of anything our driver didn't show us in Rome. It was a wonderful day and he even delivered us to an amazing restaurant for lunch.

The tour itself was great. We saw many sites, and with a small group of only 6 we had a more individualized tour. I didn't realize though that we would have very little time at some of the major attractions such as the coliseum, and St. Peters. The guide knew some things, but I feel like he could have told us more about the city and the places we visited. Also, me and my husband were early and were picked up on time at 830. We started to leave the port and the guide was called and told we needed to pick up more people as the other vehicle had broken down. This turned into us not heading into Rome from the port until 930, and the other 2 couples had to be back to the port by 530. We lost an hour of our tour waiting for the other couples. It was frustrating to loose that time. But the sites were fantastic, and the guide was extremely friendly.

This tour started out on a very frustrating note when we booked a English speaking driver, but he was not. We contacted Viator, spoke with Kalise, and it was taken care of right away. We paid for a private tour guide for the day and it was more than worth it, Franchesco was very friendly and knowledgeable and spoke excellent English, yah! It was a full day with a lot to see including the Colosseum, Roman Forum, Palatine Hill, Trevi Fountain and much more. The guide stayed with us the whole time. There were elevated walkways, thousands of steps, cobblestone/dirt walkways and paths which made it challenging for the older folks but very worth it. Don't miss this wonderful excursion. The trip was filled with beautiful sites, history and biblical artifacts that exceeded our expectations. Thank you Viator for taking immediate action to insure our tour was fantastic.
