Breng tijd door in Midden-aarde terwijl u de Hobbiton-filmset ontdekt en verhalen te horen krijgt over hobbits tijdens deze Lord of the Rings-tour van een halve dag over de filmset en langs de boerderij. Na 45 minuten rijden vanuit Rotorua komt u aan bij de Hobbiton-filmset die is gebouwd op een functionerende Nieuw-Zeelandse schapenboerderij. Het is een van de laatste overgebleven bouwwerken van de beroemde Lord of the Rings-films.

U kunt de Hobbiton-filmset en het dorp waar Bilbo Baggins woonde en de queeste voor de ring begon, ontdekken. Neem een foto voor een hobbithuis of bij de vijver terwijl uw gids u verhalen vertelt over de opnamen van deze Hollywood-kaskrakers in Nieuw-Zeeland.

U hoeft niet per se een fan te zijn van de Lord of the Rings-film om te kunnen genieten van deze tour in het prachtige landschap van het Noordereiland, maar als u wel een fan bent, zal deze tour helemaal speciaal zijn.

I only saw Lord of the Rings part 1 so I’m nit really a fan and don’t know much about it. This was a good experience...but for the price, for me it’s pricey...

Even though I have not seen the movies I greatly enjoyed this tour. The sheer magnitude of the set blew me away. I think I will try to see at least one of the movies when I go home. Well done

I absolutely loved this tour. Pickup from Rotorua was easy and the trip over went quickly with fun videos about Hobbiton and the films. Our driver was also telling us along the way sights we were seeing. The actual tour was so fun and a perfect day for it! My only negative was I wish I could have stayed longer!

We had beautiful weather and enjoyed this experience. The landscape is beautiful and I loved the gardens and flowers. The clothes on the clotheslines made me smile. Our guide was knowledgeable and we enjoyed learning information about the making of the movies.

How wonderful to be able to visualise the Hobbiton movie set. This amazing place enabled you to relive the movies and see the house of Bilbo Baggins and all the other Hobbits. We had a very knowledgeable guide named Charlotte who kept us in the loop with sites and gave us plenty of time for photos. Even our bus driver Danny kept us entertained with his commentary on the way there. Complimentary drink at the Green Dragon and then back home.Great adventure.

It was quite disappointing that we were not allowed to roam freely to explore the sets ourselves. The place was absolutely packed and we felt like sheep being herded around the sets, very little opportunity to stop and look as there was another tour group right behind us. Not really worth the money.!
