Simone was a fantastic guide, sharing his extensive knowledge of the volcano and surrounding areas. We hiked to some of the larger craters, about 2000m up. The view spectacular! Bring good shoes for moderate hiking and layers to dress in, along with water. Glad we did this - beautiful and educational.
A very professional and informative tour was provided with only 4 of us in the Land Rover. We enjoyed the experience.
We had an especially great tour. It was only the 4 of us on the full day tour to Mt Etna. Francesco was our guide. He was on time, courteous and extremely knowledgeable of Mt Etna. It happened to be an overcast day but we ventured thru forests, into old lava fields and a top a crater. The farmhouse lunch was a very nice and tasty end to a fun day! A must do adventure.
Fabulous tour! our guide was extremely knowledgable, tour was comprehensive, interesting and the lunch was just the frosting on the cake. My husband has a fascination for volcanos and our guide answered every question thoroughly and knowledgeably. This tour was definitely the highlight of our trip to Sicily.
This is a really good informative tour with a good tour guide. The lunch was brillant too!
Our wonderful driver/guide Mario picked us up in a 4X4 vehicle and so our journey began to Mt. Etna. As we drove toward Etna in the distance, Mario shared his knowledge of the area and the history of this active volcano. He literally took us off road so we would have the best views of the valley and surrounding areas. The volcano eruptions left a breathtaking lava aftermath everywhere you traveled. After driving on and trekking through the slopes of Mt. Etna we headed toward San Marco farm that was serving us lunch. While eating a most delicious meal and drinking wine that came from the vineyards on this property, we mentioned to our server how much we were enjoying this bountiful lunch. She said her Nonna was in the kitchen cooking it for us. That is exactly how it tasted like you were in someone's home. After lunch we walked around the beautiful grounds and then headed back to Taormina. A great day was had by all.
